چکیده

This paper studies the application of generalized sampled-data hold functions in minimizing the strength of the interconnections between the subsystems of large-scale interconnected systems. To this end, it proposes a quadratic programming approach to the minimization of the magnitude of specific elements of the transfer function matrix of a discrete-time equivalent system. A quantitative measure for the degree of hierarchicalness of the discrete-time equivalent model is also given. Copyright c ©2005 IFAC

Parsimonious event-triggered distributed control: A Zeno free approach

Consider the problem of stabilizing large-scale systems by distributed controllers, where the controllers exchange information via a shared limited communication medium. Event-triggered sampling schemes are proposed, in which each system decides when to transmit new information across the network based on the crossing of some error thresholds, which only depend on information locally available ...

Solving infinite horizon optimal control problems of nonlinear interconnected large-scale dynamic systems via a Haar wavelet collocation scheme

We consider an approximation scheme using Haar wavelets for solving a class of infinite horizon optimal control problems (OCP's) of nonlinear interconnected large-scale dynamic systems. A computational method based on Haar wavelets in the time-domain is proposed for solving the optimal control problem. Haar wavelets integral operational matrix and direct collocation method are utilized to find ...

Delay-dependent generalized H2 control for discrete T-S fuzzy large-scale stochastic systems with mixed delays

This paper is concerned with the problem of stochastic stability and generalized H2 control for discrete-time fuzzy largescale stochastic systems with time-varying and infinite-distributed delays. Large-scale interconnected systems consist of a number of discrete-time interconnected Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) subsystems. First, a novel Delay-Dependent Piecewise Lyapunov–Krasovskii Functional (DDPLKF) ...

Decentralized Model Reference Adaptive Control of Large Scale Interconnected Systems with Time-Delays in States and Inputs

This paper investigates the problem of decentralized model reference adaptive control (MRAC) for a class of large scale systems with time varying delays in interconnected terms and state and input delays. The upper bounds of the interconnection terms are considered to be unknown. Time varying delays in the nonlinear interconnection terms are bounded and nonnegative continuous functions and thei...

A New Class of Decentralized Interaction Estimators for Load Frequency Control in Multi-Area Power Systems

Load Frequency Control (LFC) has received considerable attention during last decades. This paper proposes a new method for designing decentralized interaction estimators for interconnected large-scale systems and utilizes it to multi-area power systems. For each local area, a local estimator is designed to estimate the interactions of this area using only the local output measurements. In fact,...
